          Job Details: Provides clinical services for identified patients on the inpatient medical units and in the Emergency Department as well as pharmacologic management of a small outpatient caseload. Performs psychiatric evaluations; develops diagnostic impressions and treatment plans. Provides pharmacological management, individual therapy and family sessions as needed. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited School or College of Nursing. Masters Degree in Nursing, Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Rhode Island and strong diagnostic skills, ability to arrive at differential diagnosis and treat a broad range of diagnostic problems required. Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with hospital departments and treatment teams. Certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric / Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist”. Registered with DEA. PPNS: Prescriptive Psychiatric Nurse Specialist with prescriptive authority. An active member of the SCH Allied Medical Staff.
